Rate My Singing - Honest Feedback from a Professional Who's Heard It All
Most singers never get a straight answer. Their friends say it sounds great. Strangers on the internet pile on or overpraise without context. And vocal coaches, while valuable, are an ongoing commitment that not everyone is ready for.
Feedback and More fills a gap that most singers don’t even know exists: an honest, professional evaluation of your singing, delivered by someone who actually knows what they’re talking about.
What You'll Learn About Your Singing
For $9.99, an Emmy-nominated producer listens to your submission and gives you a detailed evaluation covering:
-
- Your natural strengths as a singer – what’s working in your favor
- Pitch, tone, and control – where you’re consistent and where you could tighten up
- Delivery and expression – whether your performance connects emotionally
- Areas to focus on – clear, honest direction for what to improve and how
The goal isn’t to tear anything down. It’s to give you a clear, honest picture of where you are, what’s working, and what could be improved.
How the Feedback Is Delivered
Feedback and More uses a method we’ve developed specifically for vocal feedback — detailed, timestamped, and easy to act on. Here’s how it works:
-
- We watch your video submission and listen to your vocal performance, then place color-coded, timestamped markers beside your video at specific moments throughout.
- Each marker is color-coded by category: a phrase that’s great, something good, a possible pitch issue, a possible timing issue, or a possible tone or technique issue – so you know exactly what each flag means at a glance.
- We can also record verbal commentary layered on top of and/or after your submission to go deeper on anything the markers flag.
- Everything gets packaged and emailed back to you as a QuickTime movie, so you can watch your performance alongside our feedback in real time.
The result is a phrase-by-phrase evaluation of your actual performance – not a general impression, but precise, location-specific feedback you can really use.
Singers at Every Level Welcome
Whether you’ve been singing your whole life or you’re just starting to take it seriously, this evaluation is for you. We hear from:
- Hobbyist singers who want to know if they’re as good as they think (or better than they think)
- Aspiring artists preparing to record or release music for the first time
- Experienced singers looking for an objective outside perspective
- Singers preparing for auditions, talent competitions, or live performances
No matter where you’re starting from, you’ll leave with feedback that’s more useful than anything you’ll get from asking a family member or a friend. We’re here to provide actionable feedback on singing, vocals, music composition, and more.
A Note on What 'Professional Feedback' Actually Means
The word ‘professional’ gets thrown around a lot. Here’s what it means at Feedback and More: your singing is evaluated by an Emmy-nominated producer and composer who has spent decades working with artists across a wide range of genres.
That’s a very specific kind of listener – someone trained to hear details most people miss, with the experience to put those details into perspective and communicate them in a way that’s actually useful to a singer.
